Project Peace: A Healing-Centered School Program

Building Calm, Connection, and Compassion in Every Classroom

Project Peace brings trauma-informed, healing-centered wellness, mindfulness, and mental health education into schools.
We collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to create supportive environments where everyone, students and staff alike, can thrive.  Scholarship and grant-funded programs, the Peace of Mind Foundation provides counseling and holistic support for those navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, or chronic stress. Our programs are designed to align with New Jersey’s Healing-Centered Schools framework and to support schools as they build trauma-informed, whole-child environments.

How Project PEACE Works

Project PEACE is a flexible, school-based program designed to integrate seamlessly into the school day.

Programming is adapted to the developmental needs of each school community and may include the following components:

  • Classroom-based regulation and mindfulness sessions

  • Trauma-informed movement and somatic practices

  • Sound-based regulation experiences to support nervous system regulation and calm

  • Small-group or grade-level programming

  • Support for educators and staff wellbeing

  • Optional pre- and post-implementation feedback to inform impact

Program components are selected collaboratively with schools to support student regulation, staff capacity, and a positive school climate.
